This beautiful place has exceeded my expectations. From the time we arrived, we were met by friendly people, well maintained gardens and a lovely restaurant looking out onto the dam. The staff, all of them were helpful and friendly, a special thanks to Tumi she was absolutely great, the wine tasting and the food was divine. The unit was clean and tidy and lots of space. I shall definitely go back.

I am a regular visitor to The Anchorage. The food at the restaurant is good, service is good and overall a good experience. The amenities is good and the tranquility and scenery is second level. We love to walk and cycle and the roads and routes in the area of Vaal Marina have a challenge for young and old. The lodge further cater for conferences and wedding facilities. Timeshare is from January 2025 also available. What a way to secure a permsnent holiday to the Anchorage.

I recently had the privilege of attending a special event set up especially for my better half and I.. a quaint and charming establishment nestled at the far en of Vaal Marina. While this lodge is primarily known for its picturesque accommodations and tranquil environment, it graciously accepted my request to host a small romantic picnic at the riverfront swimming pool area, something that they traditionally don’t cater for at all! and it was nothing short of remarkable. From the moment we arrived at the Anchorage we were stunned at how our little private space was set up with picnic blankets and flowers and fairy lights. I was truly shocked at how astonishing everything that we planned was put together in only 4 days. Planning an event can often be stressful, especially one that involves a surprise element. However, the staff at The Anchorage went above and beyond to make this process smooth and enjoyable. From my initial inquiry, I was met with professionalism and enthusiasm. The event coordinators Willie Margit and Howard, took the time to understand my vision and worked closely with me to create a tailored experience. They were incredibly accommodating. The communication was clear and prompt, which alleviated much of the stress that often accompanies event planning. It's clear that the lodge values hospitality, and they truly strive to exceed expectations. I am so happy that I chose them to help me seal the deal.
